Check out my collection of black and white watercolor cards for Christmas or the holiday season! This watercolor card collection uses a monochromatic pallet to really play with texture and value. The simplicity makes the fun details pop!
These can be used for Christmas cards, but can also be used for general holiday cards or season’s greeting cards. This season is all about wishing your family and friends the best; I want to emphasize the joy, peace, and happiness that the beautiful winter season can bring, along with the blessings.
You can purchase each of these cards individually as 5×7 folded greeting cards, buy a collection of 8 folded A5 notecards, or buy the notecard printable and make your own! Visit my Shop
The Cabin and Pine Tree Christmas card might be my favorite! The cabin is inspired by what our home would have looked like (a basic log cabin with a cozy porch) without the additions on each side. The sign on top says “welcome” and the rug says “home” to share just what I want people to feel when they cross the threshold. A cozy log cabin in the woods surrounded by heavy, silent snowy pines is the picture of comfort, thus inspiring the phrase, “wishing you Joy and Comfort this season.” Click the picture to purchase!
Another favorite, especially since we love to explore the back roads where we live looking for deer. Particularly bucks! The bold eye catching antlers lead you to the phrase, “wishing you reasons to count your blessings this season” (The question is, “Is the ‘season’ talking about hunting season or the holiday season?”) Click the picture to purchase.
Celebrating differences, this black and white watercolor painting features three very unique pine trees covered in snow. Inspired by the differences in my children and how perfect each one is, I enjoyed painting these trees in a bold, textured style using a mix of dry on wet painting, and very textured dry on dry painting to produce a variety of effects. The phrase, “wishing you the Joy of the Season and blessing of peace” makes me think of the joy that lots of different personalities bring to the holidays, and the peace that is still possible in all the crazy! Last but not least is the Pine tree playing host to a variety of woodland animals who gathered in it’s branches. Inspired by my daughter who loves hidden pictures, I have included an owl, songbirds, blackbirds, and a handful of squirrels for you to find! It shares, “Season’s greetings great and small. Many Blessings one and all” Click the picture to purchase.
